We at White Mountain Building Products have pioneered and introduced what was once called “impossible” by making a tapered asphalt shingle. We have done it in a variety of styles, and all of our product lines feature this unique production methodology that allows us to replicate a slate look with the VS lines and a cedar shake look with Wood Creek and Village Shake, all while offering the reliability and confidence that an asphalt roofing shingle can provide.
Another innovation that White Mountain Building Products has brought to the industry is removing the lamination process. In the past, two and three layers of asphalt coated fiberglass sheets were sandwiched together with adhesives to achieve a desired thickness, which in time, will come apart, or better known as “de-lamination”. We have introduced the use of a thicker mat as well as our taper technology to achieve the thickness and looks that our customers demand. And since all of our products are made from one piece and not several laminated together, product integrity is greatly improved creating peace of mind and better value for you, the homeowner.
